In January 2025, I participated in an MUN conference called MUN For Change, hosted by Stamford American International School. Students from ten different schools across Singapore were able to attend the conference if they wanted to. The committee I was in was called FIFA, and as the Delegate of Spain, I had to discuss with other delegates to tackle the issue of performance-enhancing drugs in football. Through this experience, I was able to learn the hardships, rules, and laws of each and every country, especially Spain. By giving opening speeches and debating about two strong resolutions in the end, every member could agree that the anti-doping law should be secured.

In December 2024, I participated in an MUN Conference called MUN For Change, hosted by Australian International School. I was the delegate of the USA as one of the members representing the students who were participating in MSMUN. In this MUN conference, ten different schools gathered around to discuss about the current issues the world has to face. I was in the WHO committee, and we had to discuss on three different topics - the issue of AI in the medical field, sudden increases of people struggling with obesity in the world, and whether we should set a price for medical services or not. Every delegate had to show up with an opening speech at hand, and everybody had to write a resolution to debate on it. I was able to know more about the WHO and their stances through this wonderful experience, and I am extremely grateful to this very day that I got to participate in a conference like so.

The competition consisted of a total of 5 rounds. With my uttermost gratitude, I was commended for my ability to actively listen to opponents' arguments and respond effectively, as well as my skill in identifying key points in their reasoning and presenting strong counterarguments.

2024 CTY MUN
Johns Hopkins
In July 2024, I attended a month-long MUN (Model United Nations) program at Johns Hopkins University's CTY camp. I was commended for presenting thoughtful opinions in class discussions and consistently applying my knowledge of foreign policy. Representing Australia in a simulated zombie pandemic crisis, I assessed the needs not only of Australia but also of the global community, effectively applying real-world insights from the COVID-19 situation to the simulated scenario. I took careful notes of my group’s ideas to use in discussions and clearly demonstrated my enthusiasm for both debate and group activities. This month of intensive discussion has become a strong foundation for my future role as a delegate at my current school.

In early 2023, as a 5th grader, I participated in a three-month MUN club, where I learned foundational knowledge. It was a valuable experience, helping me prepare for eventually representing my school’s delegation in middle school.
